ACCORDIONS

I love books in any form, and there’s nothing like a blank book full of possibilities...especially when you’ve created it from papers you’ve chosen yourself. As for the structure, as is probably clear from my artist’s books, I am fond of accordions; I like that each page can stand on its own or become part of a wider page/layout (albeit with folds). I always have a wonderful time choosing the papers to cover these sets of small but sturdy accordions.

Each of the four books from each set is covered with a different paper—most have been hand-marbled or printed by artisans in Florence or Venice, so the papers are unique. For the accordion pages I used the lovely warm white Fabriano Artistico, a sturdy, forgiving paper that can accept both wet & dry media.

- Each book is approximately 2 x 5 inches (5.1 x 12.7 cm) when closed & extends to approximately 30 inches (76 cm)

- Hand-marbled/decorative paper covers in four unique patterns

- 200g Fabriano Artistico pages ~ 14 pages/28 sides
