VIVACE DESIGNS/BOXES

These little boxes evolved from work I did for an edition of A Letter a Week (ALaW). Though they are virtually unrecognizable as such, each design is composed entirely of the same letter—which has been manipulated in a number of ways: rotated, flipped, enlarged/reduced, multiplied, layered & colored. I had a wonderful time developing these colorful box “sleeves.” In fact, they ended up being the first seed of inspiration for Studio Milledisegni, my new design studio (which will be launching in Fall 2016).

Each sleeve slips over a 7x7x2.5cm box made from an origami-style box in a different color of Canson Mi-Teintes.
